Not only were the Castro walks not intentional but he took the pitchet to a 3-2 count 7 times this month before drawing a walk. From April to July he had 7 such walks. So that is encouraging as well.

Vitters does have a hilarious .098 BABIP, but even giving him tons of normalization just brings him up to "really bad" The hope here has to come from the fact that he's been terrible at every level when he first hits it, before making the proper adjustments. But those are a hell of a lot of adjustments he needs to make.
