2006 Results: The Hall of Merit Welcomes Clark, Oms and Nettles with Open Arms!

In his first year of eligibility, top slugging first baseman Will Clark easily became the top nod this election for HoM immortality. He gained a more than respectable 76% of all possible points.

In his 66th year on the ballot, Negro and Cuban League legend Alejandro Oms finally made it with 25% of all possible points.

Not that far behind Oms was fielding wizard Graig Nettles with an astounding leap forward (also with 25% of all possible points). In his 13th election, he bested Reggie Smith ...

2005 Results: Boggs Gets 100%, While Browning and Dawson Receive Hall of Merit Honors, Too!

In his first year of eligibility, legendary third baseman Wade Boggs received 100% of all possible points to become the 14th unanimous selection in Hall of Merit history (past unanimous selections include Hank Aaron, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig, Lefty Grove, Walter Johnson, Mickey Mantle, Stan Musial, Willie Mays, Babe Ruth, Mike Schmidt, Honus Wagner, Ted Williams and Cy Young).

2004 Results: Molitor, Eckersley and Bresnahan are All Waved into the Hall of Merit!

In his first year of eligibility, multipositional star Paul Molitor claimed the first induction spot into the Hall of Merit with a terrific 94% of all possible points.

Also in his first year on the ballot, ace starting and relief hurler Dennis Eckerlsey earned a strong 77% of all possible points to become the second inductee in 2004.

Last but not least, catching great Roger Bresnahan finally made into the HoM with his 84th try. He gained admission with a weak 29% of all possible points.

Hey guys, I won a contest on the Rush website, and I’ve got two front row seats to see Rush, Sunday 9/2 in Columbus, Ohio at the Germain Ampitheater. Who’dve realized they are already naming things in Columbus after Joe Germaine?
