Clemens, Bonds, Schilling, Mussina and Walker all met our threshold last season. All but Walker also met the threshold in 2017 and 2016. Bonds and Clemens made the cut in 2015 too.

Martinez had 74% last year and Rolen was 66%.

Snapper's 11th hour exclusion costs Manny immortality!

Wow, 52 voters and only 8 total open slots on ballots.

I probably would vote for 15 if given the chance including Roy Oswalt.

That's a lot of consensus!

What would be fun I think, is next year and subsequent years, hold 2 elections. one for the current BBWAA ballot, and one for a BTF ballot, reflecting guys we elected but the BBWAA did not. it would be interesting to see how we do with ALL the obvious guys out of the way.

We have periodically opened up a ballot with unlimited voting for anyone who may have been missed. Last time was 5 years ago so maybe it's time to try again

I'm not entirely sold that, if our voters truly paid heed to the order that they vote based on the Hall's directions - this was no Hall of Merit vote - a couple of the high finishers should have gotten that many votes.

I wonder if some just ignored the Hall's directives and voted for those who they think should be enshrined instead.

Is there a specific Hall directive that you feel was ignored?
