I once thought that Sherry Magee was the best player not in the HoF. I don't think that since the HoF now refuses to induct anybody not approximately as good as Hank Greenberg. And since I became aware of Bill Dahlen. Still he's one of the top 5 before the expansion era.

Very colorful character.

It sure is a very different game today....imagine a team's captain ( or anyone else on the team for that matter) taking a leather belt to an unruly player today!

Truth is a little bit of that would probably help as reasoning obviously doesn't work with some of the knuckleheads playing team sports in America today.
