Mock 2015 Hall of Fame Golden Era Ballot

Rules are the same as the Hall of Fame: Vote for up to four. 75% of ballots wins election.

Eligibles: Dick Allen, Ken Boyer, Gil Hodges, Bob Howsam, Jim Kaat, Minnie Minoso, Tony Oliva, Billy Pierce, Luis Tiant and Maury Wills.

I’ll close the election on 11/12 at noon. Everyone is eligible to vote, not just Hall of Merit regulars.

BBTF Referendum on Hall of Fame candidates

Hall of Fame style ballot referendum only including players from this era who did not receive 75% support in a previous BBTF election. The only alteration from Hall of Fame rules is the voter can vote for any number between zero and all players if they choose. Please list alphabetically for easier ballot counting.

2014 BBTF Hall of Fame Ballot

IMPORTANT: Please read:

This election should follow BBWAA rules, not Hall of Merit rules. However, we hope to see only players that each voter feels belong on their ballots (sorry Bob Tufts). Leaving 1st-year candidates off your ballot is also frowned upon. IOW, we would like to see an absence of some of the silliness that permeates Hall of Fame voting by the writers.

The election will end Monday on Dec 30th (4 PM EST). Results will be posted a short time later.

Expansion Era Hall of Fame Mock Ballot

The rules are the same as for the committee that will meet in December. Player bios and complete rules are available on the Baseball Hall of Fame website. Vote for zero to five names from the combined list of twelve candidates. 75% is required to be elected.

Balloting will end 11/11/2013 at 3:00pm EST. This is for all registered BBTF users, not just typical Hall of Merit voters.

1967 Results: The Hall of Merit is Just “Ducky” Over Medwick - Lemon Also Not Considered a “Lemon!”

In his fourteenth year of eligibility, Cardinal and Dodger slugger Joe Medwick claimed the top spot for immortality with 45% of all possible points.

In his fourth year on the ballot, Cleveland Indians’ ace pitcher Bob Lemon was inducted into the HoM with 42% of all possible points.

None of the newly eligible made any impact upon the electorate this “year.”

A record 81 names appeared on a ballot for this election.
