Link doesn't work.

I was watching the ESPN earlier, they said the Pelfrey has given up 33 runs in his last 33.3 innings.

Thats not good, right? Is that covered in the graph?

the link worked fine for me.

I get that the link "has a redirect loop" and "has resulted in too many redirects."

Kind of a ticklish situation here. If we're assuming that:

? Bay, Davis and Thole aren't going to be replaced because of salary/youth, and yet are going to be about league-average this year
? Reyes is not going to play like a superstar this season
? Neither is Beltran

... if we're assuming all those things simultaneously, then the only thing we can actually fix is 2B, and it would probably require bringing in prime Joe Morgan without giving anyone up.

So, I dunno. It'd be nice if we could bring in a decent 2B and SP, but the odds probably don't favor giving up what it would take to get top-of-the-line guys, and I almost feel like we have to either fill both holes or not even bother with the whole thing.

It works now.

Can defense slump? I blame Alex Cora. He's played much more since Reyes got hurt. Before that, it was Reyes and Tejada up the middle. Blaming Cora is easy, and fun, and veracious!

The Mets continue to be the big-market team that carries a ton of dead weight. If they DFA'd Frenchy, Barajas, Cora, Nieve, Ollie, and Maine, and replaced them with slightly more useful parts, that'd make a nice difference.

This team isn't good enough to make the playoffs, and it's just as well. Jerry Manuel and his bunt-happy ways need to go. You'd think he'd make a mental note how many times his bunts lead to ZERO runs. It happened last night, it happened in Game 1 vs. Lincecum, and it happened in Game 1 vs. the Braves a couple weeks ago.

I don't understand this organization. You don't have to be a baseball expert to see that Frenchy and Barajas are absolute jokes at the plate right now, that Alex Cora can't play a lick anymore.

DA, I think Beltran may play like a superstar teh rest of the season. Dunno if that'll be enough without Bay. Bay hits, we can win. Bay posts a 110 OPS+ we cannot.

And in case nobody noticed, the clock has struck midnight on Mike Pelfrey.

And another year ticks off the clock as Wright & Reyes head inexorably toward Kinerville.

Reyes?!?!? If Reyes played perhaps "the clock wouldn't tick off". In addition, this makes no sense.

Ho hum - another day, another loss.

The Mets are the 4th best team in their own division. They should harbor no hopes of contending this season, or in any of the next few seasons. They have very little on the farm outside of a select few prospects.
