Enrique Soto Sentenced To Ten Years In Prison

Enrique Soto, one of baseball’s most prominent trainers in the Dominican Republic for the last two decades, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of charges of sexually assaulting two boys that were part of his academy 10 years ago, according to a report that first aired Monday night in the Dominican Republic on Noticias Sin.

Better late than never.

And the story gets worse, BTW:

At least four people were injured Wednesday night when a ceiling beam holding light fixtures fell in the main chapel of Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Around 6:35 p.m., the chapel was full with an estimated 500 to 600 mourners who had gathered for a rosary for Travis Madden, the Inez baseball pitcher for Texas A&M University-Kingsville who died Saturday...

Three people struck by the falling beam were taken to local hospitals, he said. One person also suffered injuries, but refused treatment.
