YES! Finally! I have been calling for this all year. The Royals stating pitching has been awful, which is obviously the purview of the first base coach. Success is just around the corner my friends!
Shouldn't they also fire pitching coach Dave Eiland and bring in Dick Pole?

I admit a hyper self-conscious streak, but how does one make it through life as a Rusty Kuntz? Sounds like a free ticket to pick the dream name of your choice to me. How was middle school like for this guy? Oh, yeah, Rusty Kuntz joke here, #1 Strat name of all time, nudging out Pickles Dilhoefer.

Moore and Yost figured they might as well get a coach whose name describes the team.
One of my roommates in college, like me, collected baseball cards. There was a weird store on the other side of Berkeley that sold various things - toys, collectibles, baseball cards, porn, probably indentured servants too. One day he got his hands on a Rusty Kuntz card; he promptly taped it to a wall in our apartment for proper viewing.

1. Harveys WallbangersYou should probably get some penicillin, just to be sure.
#2 has already won the thread, so I see no reason why the rest of it shouldn't be all Rusty Kuntz jokes, all the time. Get your best ones ready!
Also, along with Dick Pole, they should deal for Chien-Ming Wang.

I used to know him, and never heard anyone call him anything but Michael.

Or the 1930s PCL slugger.
One wonders whether his nick-name "Old Baggy Pants" is related.
What about "Johnny Dickshot"?
