Puig arrested after being clocked at 110 mph
Fastest I have done is about 140
The fastest I've ever gone is around 110 (in a Mazda Protege), on US-50, "the loneliest road in America."
Good lord. What were you driving?
I hit about 110 in a 1975 Chevy Nova (a very overpowered car)
the loneliest road in America is US-20 west of Casper, WY.
I know that several years ago an Atlanta Thrashers hockey player killed someone else, when driving his really fast car, really fast; he lost control of the car, at the high speed, and that was that.
I would put excessive speed in a car, for a driver not trained at those speeds, right up there with drunk-driving, in terms of endangering others (innocent drivers in the way when the speeding driver loses control). I know that several years ago an Atlanta Thrashers hockey player killed someone else, when driving his really fast car, really fast; he lost control of the car, at the high speed, and that was that.
This is just irresponsible crap by anyone doing this high speed driving.
They are extremely fast and overpowered while also being extremely fragile in collisions.
When I was a younger and more foolish person, I hit about 110 in a 1975 Chevy Nova (a very overpowered car).
Fastest I have done is about 140 at 3AM on I-80 between Sacramento and San Francisco
Unless it was "suped-up", a 1975 Nova is not gonna be a particularly high HP car.
So are sickening fatal crashes.
Of course, most countries are safer than the US, so I'm not throwing stones here, at least from the direction of Texas. But Switzerland, with comparable motorways plus a nannyish speed limit, is quite a bit safer than Germany.
the one I was in had a 350 cubic inch 165 hp V-8
There are far more interesting and rewarding ways to both endanger myself and assert my manhood than going over 100 in a stupid car.
is absolutely safe
