I'm with you, Jose. The World Series title, plus shutting down the Yankees in the 2003 World Series, makes him a hero in my book. I'm really hoping he bounces back as well.
he's still striking out 8.3 batters per nine innings. It's not a career high, but it's above his career average of 8.5.
He had a good 2011, overall, but his ERA was over 5 for that last eight or so starts of the season, when the team collapsed, and he was (fairly or not) seen as part of the mutiny.
I may be the last remaining Josh Beckett fan alive. For me World Series title > everything else. I really hope he can bounce back.
At one point, this man seemed like the best postseason starting pitcher I'd ever seen.
