Milwaukee Journal, June 20, 1914:
Howard McLarry, second baseman of the Louisville American association baseball team, and Miss Villa Glassman, Lincoln, Neb., were married [in Kansas City] yesterday. The bride sat in the grand stand at yesterday afternoon’s game between Kansas City and Louisville. Louisville’s victory was due largely to McLarry’s hitting. He made two home runs and one single, and was responsible for four of Louisville’s runs.
Not sure how many bonus points you get on your batting game score for getting married, but that’s a remarkable day.
