I think it's more "my team just won the World Series. Ergo, there are lots of crowds about and the powers that be are less vigilant, so now would be an ideal time to indulge my urges to destroy a bus" Not that that's sensible either, but it's a bit different.

That's one of the upsides of social media. Makes it harder for these idiots to get away with this kind of stuff. I'm not a big fan of the big brother/surveillance society, but a world where people don't feel the need to smash or burn things when their team wins a championship is OK with me.

There were drunken idiots out in front of my house setting off Roman candles. I had to chase them off, and they ran across the street and started up again. At one point, one of them knocked the lit one over and it started shooting off sideways. Then the cops showed up and everyone scattered. But yeah, drunken idiots.

It was literally a "hey you kids, get off my lawn" moment.

My wife and I are walking through our SF neighborhood last night and this younger woman all the sudden starts ranting and yelling to the guy she is with about something. I eventually put the prices together. She walks by a" congrats Giants" window display at the local tailor and starts to yell about how it's Ok to burn cars and sabotage buses if the Giants win, but when she wants to do it... She gets arrested. Se goes on and on like this.. Saying how it's unfair, and she doesn't even like baseball.

It was a magical moment.

Don't be so quick to judge. For all you guys know, that bus killed his mother and he's been waiting his whole life for the chance to get some revenge.
