A teaser:
I can’t … It’s just … that is so beautiful and hilarious. Again, that’s batting-average against from the catcher’s perspective, so picture a lefty-swinging Sandoval with his back to you over on the right side of your screen. The place you go in the strike zone is in on his hands but, for goodness sake, don’t go too far in! If you miss outside the zone and come close to hitting him, he kind of rakes those pitches. What would the odds have been for the Giants would win the World Series with the crystal ball knowledge that Tim Lincecum would be one of the worst pitchers in baseball for most of the year.
Well, there were stories that he bulked up before 2011, and his velovity went up, then he lost like 15 lbs this past off season and disaster. Whether that is the cause, or even true, I don't know. But that would only "explain" the last two season, and most of the velocity had already inexplicably evaporated by 2010.
Lincecum had Tommy John last year? OMG, the way he pitched last nite I couldn't even tell!. Whatever rehab protocol the Giants have, Sabean should patent it.
He's lost 5 MPH in four years. That doesn't strike me as typical aging for a healthy twenty-something pitcher.
My God, he looks just like John Waters in that photo.
