I don't understand the cut-off point for managers. Davey is probably one of the top 25-30 managers in baseball history, I'd guess? Based very roughly on where he comes in on games over .500 (18th), winning percentage (20th), total wins (28th). Super crude estimates. There are 19 in the hall, and at least three guys clearly ahead of him who will be considered soon. I suppose he'd fit in well enough but it's not easy to see why he'd belong over some other qualified candidates. I would vote him ahead of Sweet Lou.
