RIP to one of my favorite pitchers when I was 8. As a little boy, I thought his 1980 season was the start of a Seaver like career. Showing my predictive abilities at an early age.

I remember seeing Pastore, in full uniform, taking photos with fans in the concourse at Riverfront Stadium in the early 80s. Didn't meet him, but at the time it was the closest I'd ever been to a real-life big leaguer. RIP.

I never knew he had become so successful in radio. I would have never listened but I have to give him credit for the success. Rest in peace.

I saw Frank Pastore speak about 5 years ago. I was invited to a men's group breakfast and it turned out to be breakfast for about 500 or so guys. Pastore was the guest speaker. He showed some video, gave a pitching demonstration, and gave his testimony. His career was derailed by injuries, causing many emotional problems. He was re-born during this time and devoted his life to spreading the gospel. He was a very genuine person, not sanctimonious, and told a moving story. He lived what he preached and this is a sad way for him to go at a very young age. He would no doubt say that his work had been finished. RIP.
