I estimate only 10-12 Primates care about straight NBA players, but with our own thread, we won’t detract from what this site is really about: gay NBA players and craft beer.

1 2 3 4 5 6 > Last ›Of course even if he can, I am sure that he would gladly do so in exchange for the fine. Only solution I can really think of is allowing refs to check instant replays for flops in the last couple minutes of the game.
IIRC, he was the first famous person I'd ever heard of who was dyslexic.
But like you said, this was one case where even if a player knew he was going to be fined, it would still likely be worth it for him to take one for the team (hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if team management paid the fine for him). There's at least a 50/50 chance the Clips wouldn't have won without it.
Small consolation, but yeah, I hope the league at least calls him out on this.
He also attempted the Reggie Miller/Dwyane Wade leg kick thing. That's two offenses that both should be fined.
And a ref 3 feet away missed them both.
I would have been fascinated to see him play regular minutes for a month or so to see how it would have gone.
I'm sure Stern's going to love that...

Since Rose was brought up yesterday, there actually was an update on him finally (but it came from Joe Cowley, ugh):
CSN reported he was running "sprints" yesterday, while they were showing him jogging about 20 feet.
Poor Mo Williams. First Chauncey takes his job, and now this. He should make sure to never let him meet his wife.
Based solely on appearance, I don't think Mo Williams should have to worry too much about losing his lady to the likes of Chauncey Billups...
(Wow, I originally accidentally typed Mo Vaughn rather than Mo Williams before I caught myself. What kind of hilarious trainwreck of a season would a team have with Mo Vaughn as it's point guard?)
I think someone with the nickname Mr. Big Shot might have an appeal that goes beyond mere appearance...
Tim Duncan playing paintball with Aziz Ansari! What a scoop!
Couldn't be any worse than Jacques Vaughn.
Haven't heard whether the cats will become the hornets or not.
Have they said why? Especially to a name so much worse than their current one?
But seriously, that sounds like a folded ABA franchise or something.
With the NHL lockout, maybe NC could rent New Orleans the unused "Hurricanes" name instead? ;-)
How good is Texas?
Starting the replay now. Looks like you got Shved'd.
Homeland called it. NBAtv actually claimed it's the 3rd straight win for the Wiz over the Heat, which is completely unbelievable. I'm not sure which loss is worse - this one or OKC @ Charlotte last season. I lean towards this one, since Wall wasn't playing.

Bulls lose a tough, ugly UGLY one with the Pacers. The teams combined to shoot 37%. Paul George was the ####### man though - that's the guy I keep thinking he's going to be. 34pts (14/25 shooting), 9reb, 2ast, 3blk, 2stl and only 2TO (take out George's line and the Pacers only made 15 other buckets and shot 23%); he won the game for them. Bulls offense is somehow even worse without Rip. Tough no-call ended the game too; I like the no-call when the defender jumps straight up (in this case, Hibbert on Deng), but Hibbert didn't get his arms up and they came down on Deng (Deng initiated contact) - it's an automatic call 99.5% of the time so it hurts a little.

Harden 3 of 19 but Rockets win anyway. He's had some real stinkers shooting this year, probably learning to be the main guy I'd guess.
Or maybe they are just an old team which loses its legs towards the end.
That might be the best way I can describe Zach Randolph. He's not a HOF level player but every so often he has nights where you think "That guy is one of the best basketball players I've ever seen." If he did it all the time, he would be a HOFer.
Part of me also wonders if he had played for Lionel Hollins or Greg Popovich(that bastard) or somebody like that his entire career if things would have turned out a little differently the first 10 years of his career. Of all the seemingly unlikely things that had to happen for this Grizzlies team to work at all, Hollins getting Z-Bo to buy-in and fill the role that he does is one of the most impressive.
Philly has shot lots of long, contested twos and failed to take care of the ball in this game. The wolves finally had a good shooting night, but it had a lot to do with having time to set with nobody challenging the shots.
No word on who got Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Yeah, fair enough.
But wouldn't that make the Charlotte team the Pelicans?
I was not super fond of the pick (I would have rather they traded down), but I thought he would be better than this.
On the court I'm a pretty big fan of his game, but I did see people saying here that his effort wasn't 100% last year and I would defer to most of you on that.
Proud home, IIRC, to Doug Moe, Larry Brown (playing, not coaching; he was one of the league's best point guards) & Steve Jones, among others.
(Like, Wikipedia reminds me, the great James Jones -- guy was a helluva player, really, out of Grambling -- & Dallas Cowboys punter Ron Widby.)
Hornets is a specific reference to a revolutionary war unit.
Where unit is a code word for ...
EDIT: And who knew it was revolutionary. :)
