Red Sox and Cardinals. Really. Baseball Gods, why to you afflict your people so? What sacrifice do you require to rid us if these scourges?
And I like Kozma starting at short... he's been a difference-maker when he's played this series, at least when the alternative has been Daniel Descalso. Descalso does have the better bat, but the Cardinals need Kozma's defense more than they need Descalso's bat.
They have won four of the last nine World Series.
What exactly is wrong with the Red Sox and Cardinals?
I wish that were true.
I think he meant the aggregated Cardinal Sox.
The only redeeming factor in a Sox/Cards series is that it would be the #1 seed in each league. Which is worth something. I believe that would be the first time since the wild card started. (?)
I say this as someone whose second favorite team is the Red Sox. I like them but can't really argue that anyone else should.
they both continually win and it would be good to see other teams win to make the fans of other teams happy
Doing your job better than others should yield better results.
they lump in hate for the Mets along with everything New York.
the 2013 Red Sox have decided that they would win largely through starting pitching and eccentricity
what is the Mickey Mouse controversy?
Cards manager Mike Matheny believes the matter has been blown out of proportion.
"The problem was [Cardinals players] were asked how they feel. They weren't asked to define or be the ultimate authority of right and wrong in this game," Matheny said. "I think it was taken out of context. They were asked how they felt, and they didn't like it. They have that right. They really do.
"It got turned into, all of a sudden, that we're making statements on how the game should be played. And that's not it. We take care of ourselves. I want them to continue to like and dislike whatever they want. They have that freedom and that right."
If the Dodgers win, I'll go to my first World Series game
I assume this was interesting.
Whatever, Greinke looks terrible. Might be a good day to score some runs.
Are Kozma and the Giants Brandon Crawford twins, separated at birth?
Wtf is this that is going on.... sunglasses 101? Who was asking for that?
I'm thinking the genius's who brought us Scooter are still working in baseball broadcasting, apparently.
another couple of feet
Looks like it was about six inches short...
