Would have been a really dramatic win...
In the last couple of weeks, Zimmerman has made a couple of the worst throws I've ever seen from a third baseman.
Rick Monday is going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about why the umpires warned everybody on the planet and then said nothing when Hanley got hit. I just tuned in to the Dodgers radio feed about the 6th-ish while working on the puter here so I'm not sure what transpired previously, but the umpires have always done whatever the hell they wanted whenever they wanted. Color me surprised.
When Hanley got hit by Rosenthal, it was again with him more or less diving into the ball on a half swing, so the umpires rightfully thought "It's as much his fault as it is the pitchers" and then didn't issue the ejection.
There is a half game difference between 1st and 6th in the NL right now.
