I just watched a Kolchak: The Night Stalker episode, wherein in the background the Cubs are in the World Series for the first time in 29 (ha!) years... against the Red Sox.
Other mythical World Series:
The Indians make the World Series in Major League II, though I don't know if it mentions an opponent.
A disturbed young man, who had tried out for the Houston Astros baseball team and been rejected, plots to take his revenge by a series of kidnappings.
Nationals fire Rick Eckstein, promote Rick Schu to be Major League hitting coach.
No mention of "Miami" winning the World Series in Back to the Future II?
I wonder why that is.
Looks like Garza to the Cubs is happening.
The Mariners have the hottest offense in baseball this month, leading the Majors in runs scored (102), slugging percentage (.487), OPS (.844), home runs (27), extra base hits (61) and runs per game (6.38).
Other mytical World Series:
Cardinals vs. Yankees (The Scout)
White Sox vs. Padres (The Kid from Left Field)
Cubs vs. Alligators (Back to the Future)
Yeah, I'm sure it's Eckstein's fault that the team watches more called strike threes go by than anyone. Way to move that deck chair on the Titanic, Rizzo.
The A's-Astros series was in a made-for-TV movie called "Murder at the World Series."
Justin upton is a terrible defender
