Good game tonight, from a neutral standpoint (not good for CHI fans, obviously).

Which team has the easier sched the rest of the way? I know DET plays OAK and LAA pretty soon.

The White Sox remaining schedule:

3 against the Twins (Chicago)
3 against the Royals (Chicago)
4 against the Tigers (Chicago)
3 against the Twins (Minnesota)
3 against the Royals (KC)
3 against the Angels (Anaheim)
3 against the Indians (Chicago)
4 against the Rays (Chicago)

The Tigers remaining schedule:

3 against the Indians (Detroit)
3 against the Angels (Anaheim)
4 against the White Sox (Chicago)
3 against the Indians (Cleveland)
3 against the A's (Detroit)
3 against the Twins (Detroit)
4 against the Royals (Detroit)
3 against the Twins (Minnesota)

The main difference is the Sox have 4 home games against the Rays and the Tigers have 3 home games against the A's. The White Sox have 17 home games remaining, while the Tigers only have 13.

For those too lazy to waste time on this, remaining games by opponent (Sox then Tigers)

Twins 6 6
Royals 6 4
Indians 3 6
Angels 3 3 (both in Anaheim)
Rays 4 0
A's 0 3 (both at home)
4 against each other

So as balanced as you can get really. 2 extra vs. the Royals vs. 3 extra vs. the Indians; 4 vs. Rays, 3 vs. A's. The big one being the 4 against each other.

The Sox now have a 14-game losing streak against Detroit in September dating to 2010. Obviously, the 4-game set between Chicago and the Tigers at the Cell next week is huge; Detroit will run Verlander and Scherzer - who Chicago couldn't hit, period - out there for two of those games. The good news for Sox fans is that the South Siders are 22-6 in their last 28 home games; 17 of their final 29, including the 4 against Detroit, are at home.

Run differential still says the Sox are the better club (Sox +64; Tigers +38). And the last time Detroit swept the White Sox at Comerica, they promptly handed first place back in the next series against Cleveland.
