But it's still 16 wins they had last year that they don't (project to) have this year. OK, Bradley, Bogaerts, AJ, Carp/Nava replace say 8 of that 16 but that still leaves 8 more.
But it isn't it incredibly rare for any team to project to 97 wins in a season?
I had no idea Mitch Maier was still getting paid to play baseball. Good for him. Points for sticktoitiveness.

BTW - I think that if Ortiz manages his projection (perhaps with something more like 550-600 than 450-500 PAs), then I think he needs just another cromulent season to punch his HoF ticket.
