Pedroiadolia: The psychological phenomenon of seeing wacko images on dirty uniforms.
Read More...The narratives around the two players, however, could not be different. Pedroia is almost the prototype of the over-achieving “scrappy” player. He is a 5’8” middle infielder who does the little things well. This ignores that he was also a second round draft choice who played baseball at a top baseball school. Cano, on the other hand is bigger, more athletic and does not project scrappiness at all. Throughout ...

I actually like [4] too. Sabean said he doesn't want to re-integrate Belt into the OF but I believe Ortiz could make a go of playing first for the remainder of 2012, and he would certainly be a huge add to that lineup. Anybody know if he cleared waivers? Of course, if he's actually too hurt to play, never mind.

It's a painful SOB of an injury. After a few days of rest it feels OK to walk around on, as long as I take it easy. Playing softball once a week, it gets aggravated as soon as I try and run on it, then it's difficult to make it through the game, and hurts for a few days after that. I can't imagine trying to play back to back days, let alone a full week.
I'm thinking the Red Sox are hiring high school football coaches to be their trainers "it's nothing, walk it off you big #####\". Their attitude is win today, you have a week to heal up...of course this is baseball and not football, so not sure that is the best philosophy.
