Given the acquisition of De La Rosa and Webster I don't think Barnes should be untouchable. From what I've read there is not a lot to choose from among the three so if the Sox can use Barnes to generate substantial return it probably is worthwhile.

I agree with Jose 100%. It's a lot easier for fans (and even the guys at Soxprospects) to part with someone like De la Rosa, who they have no attachment to. But with him coming off of injury, you're not getting a lot for him. Nor are you getting much for any of the other guys on that list (except Cecchini).

The one who makes the most sense, as Jose says, is Barnes. He started off great but was pretty pedestrian down the stretch. Plus he's a pitching prospect, so we all know he doesn't exist. If he is what it takes to get a young cost-controlled 1B (Adams? Belt?) or corner OF, then you do it. The depth from Rubby and Webster will make it more palatable as well.

Oh, and speaking of chits, any of you cool guys ever play D&D with chits? Good times.

I don't think any of the Sox starting pitching prospects should be traded this offseason. This is an organization that needs to add to the quantity of talent after the trade; they should be looking to use money to add players.

Alex Wilson (15) -- Converted to the bullpen in April...If he can hone his command a bit, he has the makings of a 7th-inning reliever, mostly due to his above-average fastball-slider combo. But he's yet to show that he's ready to make that jump. He probably wouldn't fetch a ton of return on his own, but he'd have some value as part of a larger package.

So, in other words, he is a complete crap shoot.
