Fine article. Bases loaded one out, teams are often positioned for a double play, but with two outs they are positioned for the hitter/pitcher tendency only. Also, when losing teams might take more risks in the field, perhaps diving for a ball that would be otherwise one-hopped, but teams with a lead, particularly a multi-run lead play it safe.
