I caught about five minutes of "Intentional Talk" on MLB Network the other day, and I will be hard-pressed to find a dumber show on TV. It made that show on ESPN where Skip Bayliss yells at people seem like "Nightline" in comparison.
I just caught a few minutes of Intentional Talk. Holy mother of Christ, that's a bad show.
Fortunately Clubhouse Confidential was next.

I hate this new aspect of the news. If I tune in to watch a news show, it's because I want to see the news. I don't care what a bunch of random people think about the news. CNN does the same nonsense.

Is there anybody alive that finds Kevin Millar even remotely ha-ha? WTF is that phoney hayseed BS all about...
At least you can make something of an attempt to ignore the non-baseball stuff here. Sure, threads wander off topic, but you can see it coming and bail before it turns into mass transit or animal masturbation.
Cole needs to become a manager. He's a heat machine, and would work well in a Vicki Guerrero/Bobby Heenan role.
I will preface this by saying I do not like Cole's current "heel announcer" persona.
However, his character does raise an interesting point. In an age where a good amount of fans are smarks, how are heels supposed to generate legitimate heel heat? Heels like Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes, & Dolph Ziggler are well-liked by the smark crowd- so are they really doing their job as heels? Everybody hates Cole- he generates the second-biggest heel reaction each Raw (I'd say Vickie is first- how sad is that?); they desperately want to see him get his ass kicked. Isn't that the kind of feeling a bad guy is supposed to generate?
People want to see Daniel Bryan destroy Michael Cole. I don't think people have that same feeling for Zach Ryder & Dolph Ziggler.

Announcing: I don't care for Cole's announcing at all, and insofar as JR is willing to announce, I think that he should. Moves need to be called, and JR is a step in that direction. Frankly, I'd love to see Joey Styles back in the booth, and I think Lawler needs to be put out to pasture. Booker T is a joke.
Cole: yes, he does get legit heel heat, and that's a rare thing in this day and age. I think most smarks wants heels they can love to hate, like Henry and Ziggler. I don't think that's functionally that different then someone who just plays the heel very well. I think Michael Cole, with the same shtick, would be incredibly over as a manager. Moreover, he could get David Otunga (or a substantially similar wrestler) over.
I think Ziggler and Ryder have done a terrific job of building their feud, and crowds are very hot for the inevitable title change. Frankly, I doubt Ryder's ability to get over once he doesn't have Dolph Ziggler to work with. So, people will buy either way, eh? In terms of ring talent, I think The Miz is the best at drawing real heel heat right now. It's a shame he's so crappy in the ring.

If only BBTF were a bit closer to that model.

Only when it's a masturbating bear.
EDIT: Well, I just realized that's quite the double entendre.
P.S.
