Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Griffin (Vlad) posted on September 21, 2012 at 10:15 AM # hit 0 | hit 0From what I saw of Red Sawx Nation's postings here and on SOSH, he was their first choice to take over for Theo, or at least high on their list. Every offseason Hahn is a hot GM candidate and every offseason he stays with the Sox. It's probably because this deal was a long time coming.
KW has been making noise about moving upstairs for a couple years now. He wants to spend more time with the family, is a bit burnt out, all the usual things. JR is nothing if not loyal, after bringing the 1st WS championship in around 100 years and producing mostly winning baseball, I'm sure KW has a lifetime job with the Sox if he wants it.
All in all, a good transition, Hahn seems like a real sharp, measured guy, and *knock on wood* with the Sox going to the playoffs, KW can go out on a high note.
