Players injured during the World Baseball Classic will have their salaries paid by the WBC organization while they are unable to play for their major league teams, according to an MLB source.
That would mean that players such as Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira and Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez will be paid by the WBC during their respective absences.

The Gameday app view of the field on worldbaseballclassic.com is funny. They obviously don't have any idea what the stadium looks like, so it's just a near-endless field of green and blue sky above. Looks like they're playing in Oz.
Are they not streaming it? Several people I know claimed they watched the games through worldbaseballclassic.com during the last groups of qualifiers.
