One wonders how much the Lerners have to bribe Hizzoner4Life Selig in order to get the All Star Game held at Nationals Park.

What agreements with the city would they need to reach? Do they need NYC approval to play the ASG there?

Look for Washington to host the 2017 All-Star Game. By then, the neighborhood should be fully developed, enabling the city to show off that part of town, and the Nats will likely have contended for several years. I suppose 2015 is also a possibility, but it will probably go to San Diego.

Dodgers Stadium should be a contender in a few years after the new owners help redevelop the stadium.

Wow, that's 49 years between the Mets hosting an All-Star Game.

That home run derby is going to suck even more than most of them.

I fully expect the ballpark to get a sponsorship name soon, now that the Nats are a competitive organization and look to be for several years to come. I'd guess the most likely candidate is Geico, given that it's a locally-based company, already has ties to the team and, as we all know, does plenty of advertising.

MIN is waiting for their shot too. Lots of new parks to get around to, which makes it difficult when ANA jumps the line ahead of some others like MIN, CHN, KC, etc. I'm particularly shocked how long OAK has had to wait to show off the renovations to their park. Ahem...
