folks in the midwest like baseball. folks in the midwest make a big deal about major sporting events. everyone raved about indianapolis hosting the super bowl when originally folks who go regularly were dreading indy as the location.
Yeah, stereotyping is wrong.
But it happened Tuesday. Today is Thursday. Why aren't games happening today? This sucks.
I lived in the Midwest for roughly a third of my adult life. They get used to being condescended to.
WAH. The traffic was really only bad in the Plaza, a small part of mid-town in a huge, sprawling metro, that actually has lots of transit service so that anyone that had to get there could have taken the bus. Hampton is proud of his paved roads, but apparently any kind of traffic hurts his delicate sensibilities.
I hate it when people have fun and gather in our downtown urban areas!
The All Star game was a fairly big deal when it happened here in New York, too.
