SABR invites all members to present their research findings to their colleagues attending SABR42 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Oral presentations are expected to last 20 minutes, followed by a five minute question-and-answer period. Our next national convention will be held June 27-July 1, 2012, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Twins are scheduled to play host to the Kansas City Royals in a weekend series at Target Field, which opened in 2010. In addition, a trip is tentatively planned to see a St. Paul Saints minor league game.It wasn't the weekend that I would have preferred (too close to Paula's birthday) but we'll make it work.

The waiting time is currently five years after a player retires to be named to the ballot. The National Baseball Hall of Fame, though, is considering making the waiting period only three years, The Post has learned.

Basic league structure: 14 teams, keeper, sabermetric stats, auction style, with long-term extensions and deep farm systems. $263 auction cap, 24 players.
Batting stats:
adjOBP (basically OBP with CS subracted from the numerator) - replaces AVG.
Bases Produced (TB + SB) - replaces HR, why not give credit for 2B and 3B too, puts SB in proper perspective.
Runs Scored - replaces SB, for obvious reasons.
RBI - no change.
Pitching stats:
