The Arizona Diamondbacks will try to top the success of last year’s 18-inch bacon-and-cheese-stuffed corn dog by offering a dessert. Team president and CEO Derrick Hall told ESPN.com on Tuesday that the team’s star concession item this year will be a Churro Dog.
The Churro Dog is a warm cinnamon churro sitting inside a Long John chocolate-glazed donut, which is then topped with frozen yogurt, caramel and chocolate sauces. Its estimated calorie count is 1,117.

The Diamondbacks became the latest team to cash in on baseball’s exploding local television market, agreeing to remain with Fox Sports Arizona under a contract that’s believed to be worth in excess of $1 billion. Sources would not provide details of the agreement, such as specific financial terms or even the length of the contract, but there are indications the deal is in line with expectations based on previous comments from club officials.

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Adam Dunn trekked 14 seasons and 2,001 games just to get to the postseason. But when his one and only playoff chance arrived Tuesday, he never got off the bench, and afterward he said he will retire.
The Oakland Athletics designated hitter, 34, told ESPN’s Pedro Gomez that he has played his final game.
“I guess the computer got me,” Dunn said, referring to the A’s “Moneyball” tactics.
