I'll take a little bow right now - when the Granderson trade happened, I said that Scherzer would be the best player in the deal. Despite solid contributions from Messers Granderson and Jackson, I think I was correct.
From the looks of things, Sale was been outstanding for a terrible ballclub, leading the league in ERA+ for starting pitchers and a lower ERA than Scherzer.
