Sounding more like Bats Battaglia than Joey Bats…
Read More...“I think it’s a cheap shot and uncalled for to say something like that without having some sort of evidence to back it up,” Bautista said Friday in the visitor’s clubhouse at Fenway Park. “Comments and articles like that is what sometimes makes us wonder what’s the true intention of somebody that’s in the media. It blows my mind that somebody would just go out there and do something like that, and write an article where you’re ...

"his nearest pitbull-friendly option is Buffalo, which is two hours away."
I've driven from Buffalo to Toronto and back at least 6 or 8 roundtrips, and never once did it take me two hours.
maybe I confused mph for whatever those Canadians are using these days?
an hour-40, yeah it can take that long. but most of it is an easy ride....
He has to stop to fill up. Twice.
think of it more as a law against breeding your dogs in a specific way.
As a Sox fan, he's also the guy who followed his boy Ozzie to play for another snake in Loria, rather than stay with the club that made him who he is. Yea yea it's business but the Sox are nothing if not incredibly loyal as an organization. He could have been a Sox for life and reaped the rewards (probably with at least a plaque and maybe a statue, among monetary rewards for life), now he's in the worst division for pitching and can't keep his damn dogs to boot. Life's a ##### sometimes, even for rich folk.
Also, my dad's from Fort Erie so I've made the Toronto to (roughly) Buffalo trip about a million times. I guess it does depend who's driving. Google gives an ETA of 1h 56 minutes (2h 19 minutes in current traffic...which is what? 6:15am?)
What's the situation with the Peace Bridge these days? Any delays at all?
Welcome to the North Side Mark!
if you go back to one of the stories about it from last offseason, i can almost guarantee that you'll find someone snarking about loria already planning his next firesale.
I remember it like that too. Or at least it was public knowledge that they couldn't afford a competitive offer.
That rug really tied the room together.
My wife's mom lives in upstate NY so we go down pretty regularly. At least at the times we travel the Peace Bridge hasn't been too bad for the past while -- the longest wait has been about a half hour, and it is much more often only about 5 minutes. The lineups at the Lewiston-Queenston bridge have generally been worse over the past few years, in my experience. The bigger issue for us is usually traffic on the QEW.
Everytime I hear "out of your element" I say it in my head in Walter's voice. "Donny, you're out of your element!!".
Here are some of the Jose Reyes ones, and the Mark Buehrle signs one.

It's closer to that. He wanted to test the market, and when he came back to the Sox with Miami's offer, they basically said, "Yeah, we can't match that."
