I officially give carte blanche that if I take a liner off the skull, while in flames, and dying of AIDS...you may all take pics and post it to MLB memes.
May I humbly suggest removing your clothing, covering yourself in mustard and performing the act at a major shopping mall two days after Thanksgiving. I mean if you're going to go out in flames
We'll need enough prior notice, of course, to get pictures.
ESPN has a story about McCarthy, and they 100% missed that his Children's Tylenol Tweet was an AD reference.

I pitch slow-pitch softball (from 50 feet not 35) and have been hit on the leg and the forearm -- you could see the stitches of the ball on my skin.
a new softball is not soft by any means. once i was pitching and i took a hard shot from some guy right on the big toe and it hurt like a ##### for the rest of the game, but i played on. when i got home i took my shoe and sock off and the darn thing was purple, and soon after that the nail turned black and fell off. so i guess i'm saying the idea of getting hit in the head with a major league line drive makes me downright queasy.
The skull is extremely fragile in the pterion regioin where McCarthy was struck; apparently, it's the place that most often fractures if you absorb enough force at other points of the head. And big arteries run across the temple at that point. God's little joke.
I will tell you this. If the first fatality in 120 years happened this year and I didn't see it live I'm going to be *pissed.*
Well, Sam, I was there and it was horrifying enough just to watch him go down in a heap with the sound of the ball meeting his head as loud to the ear as the sound of the ball coming off the bat.
There are certain types of singularity that deserve to be avoided at all costs. This is certainly one of them.
Sending prayers to McCarthy, his wife, and his family and with fervent hope that he will make a full recovery and return to the mound.
