Former Cardinals outfielder Fernando Tatís once famously hit 2 Grand Slams in one inning and set a Major Leage record with 8 RBI in one frame but that may not be his biggest feat. Lately it seems that Fernando has been lighting up the world of graphic design and his all original creations are truly a sight to behold and the world needs to stand up and take notice.

< 1 2I hate it when people like Joltin' Joe Orsulak and Albert Belle don't get BTF meme/jokes
"Twitter is really useful so long as you don't follow idiots."
yes, and calling it useless is more revelatory than critics realize.
even if you follow someone and then decide 4 hours later that they are annoying, one keystroke removes that twit from your life forever if you choose.
no sentient being would not benefit from following at least one person on Twitter who provides useful info to that sentient being.
Not even Cardinal fans have the Yankee fan entitlement complex, though.
Not one that I've met or talked to.
That seems to be the majority of the sentiment that I've seen.
moving on to 2013
But there are some examples of fanbases turning rather quickly on guys with recent October heroism. Didn't Mark Bellhorn get booed out of Boston in June 2005?
It means we were lucky enough to be there. Which is what your previous lines were pointing out.
That's a shame. You'd think "the best fans in baseball" would be more upset about coming that close and missing. Bunch of apathetic bastards.
:)
Sorry, could someone explain this one to me? Maybe I'm just dense. It seems like one of those jokes that would be really funny if I got it.
You must be new here. Actually, judging from your profile, you probably missed the Dave Cameron 6th Best Team in Baseball thing on Fangraphs a few years back. I don't have the time or energy (or desire) to wade through Fangraphs to find the original post, but this at least references it. It's been a meme here ever since.
As you may know, Cameron is kind of a polarizing figure in the community. He emobides everything that I dislike about Baseball Prospectus, and USS Mariner has been famous for quelling dissenting opinions on its forums (which I still find absolutely bizarre).
Now that ZiPS is moving to Fangraphs, will we see a BBTF - Fangraphs rivalry similar to the Prospects - Hardball Times rivalry of a few years back?
By the way, somebody should put this meme up on Wiki Gonzalez. Does anybody even read that anymore? Is that even legal?
He shouldn't have been booed, but in fairness - and I say this as a huge Bellhorn fan - he was awful for the Red Sox in 2005. And for every season of his career other than 2002 and 2004.

My gang of hooligans managed to overturn a couple of squad cars in spite of the tear gas and water cannon. The other rioters applauded politely.
Why am I always late to these highly-entertaining threads?
Well, gotta find something to do to pass the time...
No, no. Sox fans are the worser in baseball.
It was a common practice to applaud the opposing pitcher in his last at-bat when he had thrown a good game.
I thought that was very cool, even when I was six or seven years old.
