Peavy smiles and says: “I try not to yell; I try not to swear. But at 7 o’clock every night, I turn into someone different. I’m out there trying to focus. I’m competing. I can’t control myself. But I have three little boys. I want them to be able to watch their daddy pitch without hearing all the yelling.

Mine is working now, but it went down for about 10 minutes. RCN issue I guess since everything else was fine. I could still see on postseason tv

Thinking is bad.... picking lint out of my hairy belly is good.
Hah! My wife went crazy then, too!
The Tigers are sure wracking up the bizarre scoring scenarios.
Wow.
Susan Slusser: Coco almost makes insane great catch but drops it, ruled error, two runs score. #Athletics
Joe Stiglich: Crisp appeared to have easy fly ball for last out. Dropped it for 2-run E-8 that gives #Tigers lead.
Jamie Campbell: "That strikeout was Doolittle doo late"
Uncanny how the Beane A's find ways to choke away playoff baseball games
I didn't want to say it, but my reaction to Crisp's play was "now that's the Oakland A's I know and love."
I walked by a big Curt Young picture every day of my high school career. Someone gave me an autographed Curt Young baseball before I even cared about sports. So despite his unremarkable playing career, my ears have always started burning a bit any time I hear Young's name mentioned.
FWIW, Gregg Zaun's take was it was a bush league play that Crisp should've easily made. Then again, he was rolling, calling Melvin's bullpen management bush league as well.
Also, yay for a leadoff baserunner. That's how you need to follow up a catastrophe like that one.
That was Zaun's take, and it certainly looked like that's the case.
And yes, I do think Matt said "Santa Maria!" and it really confused me.
