If MLB wants colleges to give out more baseball scholarships to men the universities are going to have to add more scholarships for women's sports to keep things "equal".
How about taking 10 of the 85 scholarships away from football and giving them to baseball? Do college football teams really need 85 players on scholarship (plus walk-ons)?
Finally. I can't get over the metal bats. That ping sound is not an easy adjustment.
Considering how a few teams, mostly from the SEC West, game the system so that they have something like 120 scholarship players to choose from, apparently they need more.
