quick--only Heisman trophy winner to play in the Final Four
That would be Beaver Terry Baker, 1962 Heisman winner, I don't know what year Oregon State was in the FF the year he played in it.
Don't know. I do know the only guys to play in the Final Four and MLB went to the same defunct high school. Anyone?

also-Terry Baker is a half answer to another trivia question--anyone?
LaTroy Hawkins is from Gary, Indiana. That's basically East Chicago.
Traditionally there are a lot of football/baseball dual threats, but very few of them are QB/pitchers because of the requirement for such different arm actions. That may be changing I guess.
while we've had a few play two sports professionally at different times in their life, no one has really come close to the elite level Bo (HOF football player til he got hurt, All-Star baseball player) and Deion (HOF football player player, pretty good baseball player) in both.
Here's one: Which college pitcher won the MVP of the College World Series (2 games, 17? innings, 9 hits, 1 earned run, 29 K's) and was starting in LF for his major league team exactly one week later?
Which two MLBers won a Heisman Trophy?
fastball a 60 (on the 20-to-80 scale) and a future 70
Only advantage I see is that throwing a football is much less likely to lead to career-threatening arm injuries. A QB just doesn't overuse his arm like a pitcher does - 30-50 throws once a week, and only a small portion of those will be max effort throws.
But overall injury risk is less in baseball. Pitchers don't have to worry (usually) about the 1b runner blindside tackling him as he completes a pitch.
