Yes, maybe so, but the origin of Ljubljana probably comes from the Romano-Slavic word "Luwigna." The Germans called the town "Laibach," which is derived from "Laubach" or marshland. Ljubijankic is derived from the Slavic root "ljub" which means "beloved."
