SABR Analytics Conference, March 7-9, 2013 Phoenix, AZ

The 2013 SABR Analytics Conference will be held Thursday, March 7 through Saturday, March 9, 2013, in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

Thursday’s programming will be held at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, 555 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Friday and Saturday’s programming will be held at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, 340 North 3rd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004.

I'm always most worried about the pre headliner speeches. Sometimes the reporters and announcers (as well as the descendants of the Veterans Committee guys) just will go on forever and ever.

It was a fantastic ceremony. Rickey killed with the "humble" line. KILLED. And the donuts. Well worth the drive.

Did anyone else catch Hank Aaron getting introduced as "Everyone's Home Run Champion"? That was quite the statement.

Finally, Tony Kubek...they really should have started the music and gone to commercial after the fifth Moose Skowron story. That was brutal.

Lou Brock's wife could have cut the prayer short by about 15 minutes or so, too.

No. At least, I saw all the HOFers getting on the busses as I left, so I assume it was completely done by the time I left.
