He has a career .305/.359/.403 vs. RHP, but he's brutal vs. lefties.
He could confuse people more if he used his middle name.
Apparently Halladay is one the RHP Schumaker can hit, going 6-for-15 off him, with a walk and no K's.
Sounds like a Mark Ellis platoon partner to me.
Especially if he retired for three years, and then came back.

He would seem more useful to a team without a pair of LHH corner outfielders.
Nobody agrees with me on this, but I think he's at best an average corner OF as a defender, and putrid as a CF. He is surprisingly slow for a guy who looks like an anti-Molina.
The Cardinals would have to have been pretty circumspect about it, but based on Schumaker's 2011 and 2012 salaries, I assume he was non-tendered a year ago and then immediately re-signed.
