Taking potshots at Bud Selig's owner-approved salary is about as scorched-earth as it gets. This whole saga gets more astonishing by the day. Even if everything goes McCourt's way and he's able to retain the Dodgers, it's hard to imagine him strolling into owners' meetings multiple times per year for the next 5 or 10 years, as if none of this had ever happened.
I'm guessing McCourt understands Selig's salary is a different animal that borrowing money against the Dodgers' assets so you can buy the 25 million dollar house across the street because it has a nicer pool. Then again, he might not.

I am surprised that McCourt has not gone after Selig's actions as an owner. Didn't he get a loan from the owner of the Twins and when it was revealed that it violated MLB rules he shrugged and said something along the lines of "well we write the rules".

The sad thing about all this is McCourt could have learned from Selig the correct way to make yourself fabulously wealthy from owning an MLB team.
