Not yet a signing, exactly, but interesting: Mets' 7th round pick, Daniel Stegall, was a Miami football signee but has informed UM coach Larry Coker he's going the baseball route, leaving the 'Canes with just two quarterbacks on the roster.

High School, right-handed pitcher Steven Cheney (25th) from Gulf Coast (Fla.) Community College (FL), outfielder Will Bashelor (28th) from Dartmouth College, infielder Jacob Eigsti (29th) from Indiana State University, outfielder Jeremy Hambrice (31st) from Southern Arkansas University, infielder Jeffery Voyles (34th) from the University of Texas-San Antonio, outfielder Donald Green (39th) from Texas Southern University and right-handed pitcher Kyle Johnson, (46th) from Chapman (Calif.) University.
