I love Dynasty League Baseball and have played it for years. I love it so much I provided a free ad for the game this season to thank Mike Cieslinski for the many years of enjoyment I’ve gotten from the game. At some point I will do an in-depth review of the game for the site to so you can get a better idea about the game’s strengths and weaknesses.

Even celebratory pitch invasions can be nasty for the players, just look at Italy and their habit of stripping their players of their kit if they don't manage to escape to the dressing room.
The crime of interposing yourself into a celebration that you had nothing to do with, on the other hand, isn't in the law at all . That's a pity, that deserves some really cruel and unusual punishment.

"Diaz, a married father of two from Massapequa, LI, was wearing a replica of the Kid’s 1986 jersey."

EDIT: Ah, I see a related thread has appeared.
A day in jail is preposterous.
Well then jail people for that. Don't jail them for what they might do.
When was the last appearance by Morganna the Kissing Bandit?
If some blimp-chested blonde rushed the field these days, she'd be tazed before she crossed the foul line.
(Edit: Apparently she retired in 1999, and it looks like her last major league appearance was 1990. When she started in 1970 (with Pete Rose as the first victim), she was only 16 - which I suspect would be another thing that would never fly today. Someone would insist that we think of the children.)
What's he going to do otherwise? Take his kid out to the club for strippers and blow? I doubt he'll remember his dad not being there.
yes, I thought it being the kid's 1st birthday was a lot better than the 5th, or the 10th, if this is unavoidable....
It's about all the #### you're going to get from the kid's mom for the rest of your life for not being there that day.

The kid could also very well use this against his father when he is old enough later on in life.
Getting arrested for storming the pitcher’s mound: a possible $1,000 fine and a year in jail.
Being a part of Mets history: priceless. ...
What a timely and cutting-edge reference from the Post. True pioneers of sportswriting.
Should he have waited until a Mets pitcher threw another no-hitter?

That fan/crasher must be in the front roooowww.
Sometimes they let the fans onto the court, or the field, or the ice; and that's a nice way to celebrate & I wish that was an option at Citi Field. But if it isn't, then it certainly doesn't enhance the fan's experience to see some idiot get tackled & arrested.
Cold, but also funny.
1. Scare others from doing it.
2. IANAL but if he returns to Citi Field and gets in trouble, maybe he could be easily prosecuted for a more serious criminal trespassing charge just for being there, in addition to his present misdemeanor trespassing. I doubt Citi Field has cameras and facial recognition software to keep him out.
I agree. After what those idiots did to Tom Gamboa, I can absolutely understand why teams have adopted a zero-tolerance policy for this stuff, especially when players and coaches are still out on the field.
That's fine for the team. Let have all the zero tolerance they want. Doesn't mean the authorities have to go along. I have a zero tolerance policy for dogs crapping in my yard. Doesn't mean the police are going to arrest anyone for it.
