I do wish we could see a little more like that from pitchers when they bean someone in the head.
The closest I've seen is from Vincente Padilla (of all ####### people!) when he hits Beltre in the head. Look at his body language just as it happens. That definitly was "Oh ####, #### sorry."
Right on the intersection of the "N" and the "Y." Give that man a giant stuffed Pikachu.

I like to imagine that when the doctor examined Beltre, and grasped his head, that Beltre punched him.
Pretty much every time I've ever seen a pitcher hit a batter in the head, they've reacted this way if not more apologetically.
Same here. I remember Randy Johnson once hitting Mike Greenwell in the head. Johnson ran to the plate immediately and hovered over the trainer/coaches as they attended to Greenwell.

"Johnson said afterward he was upset that Red Sox Manager Butch Hobson pushed him away from Greenwell after Greenwell was hit. Hobson yelled at Johnson, and Seattle Manager Lou Piniella later yelled and motioned at players in the Red Sox dugout."
So the two times I'm aware that a pitcher was *this* concerned, both times there was some Neanderthal old school responses. The other time being this season when a pitcher stepped off the mound to check on the batter and some Dumas announcers said the pitcher should never leave the mound in a situation like that.

I was just thinking today that exactly what the A's could use this season is Eric Chavez. ####...
Well, to be fair, Vincente Padilla doesn't have a lot of experience hitting people unintentionally.
