I try to avoid Joe Buck-called games, so I don't know if this is something new, but during the Yankees/Tigers game a couple weekends ago, Buck kept using the phrase, "After ____ does something here..." He said it before the first of two moonshots that Miguel Cabrera hit, which only seemed to encourage him in using the phrase even more frequently, as to appear all soothsayer-ish.

Last night was the first time I think I've ever endured a Mark Grace broadcast at length, and my lord is he awful. He and his Thom Brennaman sound-alike PBP guy spent what seemed like two-thirds of the game talking about the 2-ft hotdog that the Rangers sell and a dude in the stands that was eating one. Painful.

He does it pretty regularly. My recollection is that it is typically setting up some sort of pre-recorded piece such as "after Cano does something here we'll have our interview with Yankee manager Joe Girardi."
