When Liquid Plumr failed to clear things up, the city filed suit.

The lawsuit argues MLB’s decree that the San Francisco Giants have exclusive territorial rights to San Jose, which the defending World Series champions refuse to relinquish, constitutes unlawful restraint of trade.

Also, according to TK (@40Goingon28), some people in the crowd are throwing tortillas at Sergio Romo on the parade route. Interesting.

The first thing I though of when I heard tortilla throwing was the Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena. But then I'm from Southern California. I guess the tradition is rooted in more than one place.

When the big 12 winner stopped going to the orange bowl and started going to the fiesta bowl, fans switched from throwing oranges to tortillas on the field. They sail better than triangular corn chips.

The parade was crazy. On the way to work, I got shunted on to the parade route, so I just went through on my bicycle. People were cheering and giving me high fives. Lots of drunk people.

When you see a picture of Sergio Romo from the beard up, he looks like he's supposed to be some fat, sloppy Jose Mesa-type guy. Then when you see him in person, he's like 3% body fat with those awesome high socks and he looks like some college player from the '50s. Love it.

Romo is in fact, awesome, but it still does not excuse Fox interviewing him the entire inning...!!!!

tshipman, glad to see another SF bicycle communter on the boards. I unfortunately have to bike/train to Mountain View ... so I had to leave much earlier for work (I assume)... Montgomery and Market was still jam packed when I went through there though. Crazy. 7:30 am, 3.5 hours before the parade.

I would think so with all the hills.

Which leads me to a question - I do the "Breast Cancer 3-day" walk (Susan G. Komen)every year in San Diego and someone who had done the SF walk one time told me they thought we did more hills in San Diego than the SF walk had. How is it possible to walk 20 miles in a day in SF without doing a lot of hill work? Are they nuts or is there some flat area of SF that I've just always managed to miss every time I've ever been there?

All the hills in SF are short and very steep for the most part with lots of ways to go around them. Lots of flat areas in between. So it could be that SD has lots of long rolling hills hat are not too steep. SF does not really have those That being said given the really steep hills, there may be things that other people thnk are hills that I think are flat... If you ever come to sf, and plan to do a lot of walking or biking I highly recommend the SF bike map that color codes the steepness of the street. It's online or $4 from a bike shop.
