The Kansas City Royals made the NRA enemies list somehow

Thank God, then, for the NRA. A few minutes ago I saw people tweeting about the “enemies list” they apparently keep. In the NRA’s parlance, a list of “National Organizations with Anti-Gun Policies.” Which, sure, if you’re an advocacy group you understandably want to keep a list of people who oppose your agenda, so fair enough. But the list is pretty hilarious, mostly because it goes way beyond actual opposition groups who work to counter the NRA’s agenda and seems to include just about anyone who has ever had a thought about gun ownership that runs counter to the NRA.

Indeed, it has a list of “celebrities” — and since Louie Anderson is on it, that term is defined EXTREMELY loosely. Heck, it has two “Family Feud” hosts on there and doesn’t even include Richard Dawson or Ray Combs. And don’t give me that “because they’re dead!” baloney. Nora Ephron is on the list and she’s dead. Boyz II Men is on the list and they’ve been dead since the early 90s.

Anyway, if you scroll down the list long enough — and you really should — you get to this one:

Which, I don’t even know. The Royals haven’t been a threat to anything and haven’t stood for anything since at least the late 80s. But I guess their pitching staffs for the last 20 years have shown an institutional aversion to high caliber firepower, but that’s stretching it a bit. Really, I’m perplexed. Worth noting while we’re at it that former MLBer Mike Torrez is on the list too. Guessing lots of bitter fans of the 1978 Red Sox are in the NRA.

So does Jeff Francoeur. Despite having no other reason to give him playing time, the Royals will bear that arm in right field. NRA should be buying season tickets in KC.

David Glass was the CEO of Walmart, where a significant amount of gun sales are made each year. How he made this list, I have no idea.

The "companies list" is heavily dominated for KCm companies (Royals, Chiefs, Sprint, Hallmark, AMC Theaters, BCBS-Kansas City, James B. Nutter, American Century) and St. Louis companies (NFL Rams, BJC Health, Brooks Investment, Earthgrains, Mallinckrodt, Site Oil, SW Bell-St. Louis, SSM Health System, SL University)for whatever reason.

I'm surprised the Cleveland Indians didn't make the list. After all, after the debacle of Ten Cent Beer Night, their commie so-called "solution" was to not have any more Ten Cent Beer Nights. As everyone knows, the true patriotic solution would have been MORE GUNS.

As I was leaving my house I stuffed my Glock 10mm "man gun" mexican style in my pants. My backup is a fully customized 1911 with all the IPSC add on options in my $500.00 leather pancake holster custom made by Belgian Monks who have devoted their lives to silence and holster making. These are the ones used by SEAL Team 6, which I used to be a part of but all records of my activities were destroyed in a fire "accident".

I put on my Royal Robbins photographer vest to match my pants while wearing a T-Shirt underneath reading "from my cold dead hands", that away nobody can see what I'm packing.

I had my Centinial .38 Special in my ankle holster, just like the gun rag guys carry.

Lastly I had my "Covert Sniper" I.D. Card in my wallet with my "Concealed Weapons Permit Badge". I was reading for anything.

For clarity, I'm working from the viewpoint that the author created a character, one he would play both in the story and out as part of his gag to troll and humour other forum denizens. I read the line as the closest thing to high and tight the author could write without spilling his coke. If you read the clean shaven line as out of character, reflecting a sincerely held belief, my apologies, please mock away.
