The Coco Crisp catch (50) was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. I was in the bar in Seattle at the SABR convention and the room was full of SABR members. After the catch the room was abuzz with memories of the best catches people had seen. The ages and memories ranged well over half a century and was just a ton of fun. My single favorite memory of the eleven SABR conventions I've been too.
It is - as always - simply uncanny, how many of the greatest catches happen to have been captured on film.
I would have thought, "At least Sam Rice in the World Series?" But, no.

Now that's a baseball crowd.
McGwire hits Bud sign in Cleveland
Rats, they don't have McGwire going opposite field at Shea and hitting near his number on the scoreboard.
An incredible throw

Signs I'm getting old: Kids these days know nothing of Wild Bill Hagy.
David Cone wins his 20th game in 1988 and is greeted in the dugout by... what the hell?! (The title of the video gives it away, but it's worth watching because it's just surreal.)
Sammy Sosa hits his 1st major league HR, off Roger Clemens in 1989. If you're one of those guys who likes to look at old photos of Barry Bonds on the internet to try and determine whether the size of his head grew over time, you're gonna LOVE this video.
Angels fans definitely remember that one. That's the one that suddenly changed Sarge Lite's reputation into a defensive god, resulting in the Angels signing him to a 5-year, $50 million contract. The Angels got 1.9 bWAR and -1.3 fWAR out of him.
The video does show Cone shaking hands with a Dick...
