Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mike Piazza and Craig Biggio have been elected to the Hall of Merit!
The timing for our first year electing 4 candidates could not have worked out better, since class of 2013 is the strongest in terms of electees that we’ve ever had. Bonds and Clemens were each unanimous at 1 and 2. I believe that’s the first ...

This.
Making Tommy LaSorda unhappy is just the icing on the cake.
How does Lasorda being unhappy affect your life in the slightest?

I've actually suggested this previously, but it wouldn't work: only games that involve snow and/or ice are allowed in the Winter Olympics. (My idea was the hold the baseball tournament in the winter at a dome or a warm-weather spot.)
I'm a Reds fan; have been since 1970. Back in the 1970s and 1980s, the Dodgers were the Reds biggest rival, and Lasorda's constant proclamations about how he bled Dodger blue, and wouldn't let his family wear any red-colored clothes really annoyed me. I generally don't take offense at sports figures because of their laundry, but Lasorda was so over-the-top and obnoxious (and to me, insincere) about it that it gave me a lifelong, virulent dislike of the man. He's the one sports figure that I find the most objectionable, just based on his outward personality. I don't wish him any physical calamity or great mental anguish, but if he could be a little unhappy over a sports result, yes, that would make me happy.
